Targeting traffic on the internet is a way of bringing more people to your Web site. Many people have laid claim to increasing their monthly visits to a page tenfold in very short amounts of time by using targeted traffic techniques. There are many sites that will offer to target traffic to yours for a fee, however there are also methods of doing it by yourself at no cost other than a little bit of time and effort. Method 1) Article Marketing: Through article marketing you can increase credibility and traffic to your site by writing many short articles about your Web site, target audience and/or product. These short articles are usually labelled by a byline, bio box and some minor contact information. Method 2) Search Engine Optimization: Search Engine Optimization is the process of optimizing you Web site in a way that will allow it to show up in many different search engine searches. This allows your site to be found easily whether it is on purpose or not by the user. Proper optimization involves targeting a certain audience rather than simply posting key words that are more often searched than others. A good practice would be to find your target audience and to write several detailed descriptions of both the audience you are targeting and what services you offer. Method 3) Blog Comments: Blog comments, while useful, can be highly controversial. If you decide to comment on someone’s blog about your Web site, you must do so very subtly. If you blatantly advertise your post will get deleted and you will more than likely be banned. For this reason it would be better to start a blog related to your Web site that could potentially draw more attention to your site through interesting topics about your site. If the blog is about your Web site you can throw subtlety out the window. Method 4) Forum Posting: This tactic is highly controversial and for the most part shunned. Unless the forum is your own, blatantly advertising on someone’s forum board can cause serious anger and can get you banned. For this reason, approach forum posting like blog comments, but with even more caution. If you are too blunt about trying to bring people to your site you could potentially lose traffic. If, however, you are subtle and bring your site up casually and not as if it were your own, you can increase traffic through curiosity and interest. Through proper use of some or all of these methods, targeted traffic techniques can and will greatly increase the traffic to your Web site. Find out the Secret Tips on How to Get More Traffic. |
